STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY

My approach to photography is grounded in capturing authentic and timeless moments. When I consider what I aim to achieve with a photograph, my fascination lies in understanding the people of our history through imagery. When discussing photographic style, it often pertains to the quality and intensity of light, which varies depending on the circumstances.

I gravitate towards a natural style characterized by soft lighting, rich colors, and textures that highlight life at its best. I prefer to work with natural light whenever possible, but I also integrate subtle flash photography when needed to achieve specific goals or when natural light is limited.

In contrast, for event shoots, I typically utilize flash photography. I find joy in undertaking styled photoshoots that push my creative boundaries, yielding spectacular images.

WHO I AM

I am a Ghanaian born American who enjoys family time, technology tinkering, cooking, and I bring my camera everywhere. In college, I enjoyed taking pictures of my mates and then posting a video album on Facebook at the end of the semester. Fast forward today, I still have that same joy in my professional photography work when I see the face of clients after I show them a picture, I just took of them.

My primary goal in most photoshoots is to evoke emotion. I aim to create environments that allow genuine emotions to surface, whether it's capturing intimate moments or simply portraying joy and togetherness. For me, exceptional photos aren't just about impressive backgrounds; they're about capturing real emotions. Your emotions are unique and personal—I strive to capture them authentically, even if just for a fleeting moment. A truly successful photoshoot for me is one where I find myself smiling as I edit and prepare your photos. The powerful emotions captured in these images are what fuel my passion for photography.

MY APPROACH TO POSING

There's often concern about photography poses. When you're deciding to hire a photographer, it's usually to ensure you receive outstanding images. I believe it's the photographer's responsibility to ensure everyone looks their best on the shoot day. This includes providing guidance on optimal timing, locations, and posing techniques to achieve this goal. While I can act as a documentarian, the primary reason to hire a professional photographer is for their ability to showcase your best self. My approach varies depending on the circumstances.
